WIW | July Edition

Simple and basic pieces are what I’m craving lately.

I noticed as I was browsing online at the new arrivals at different stores that fall fashion is quickly approaching. Can we slow down a bit? It’s July, right? My mind is still fully in summer mode and here in Phoenix we don’t experience even an inkling of fall until well into October.

So anyways, I’m still being drawn to summer pieces that are simple and can be thrown on without a lot of fuss….

Blush T-Shirt Dress – Since my office wardrobe is more on the casual side these days, I’ve been on the hunt for simple t-shirt dresses that could easily be dressed up with a pair of pumps. I am loving this soft blush color and I have know doubt, being that it is from J.Crew that the material is incredibly soft.

Leather Crossbody – It’s no secret that I love a good crossbody bag, preferably in a saddlebag style. Mine are starting to get a little worn, so I would love to add this one to my collection. It looks like the perfect shade of brown and isn’t ridiculously expensive.

One-Piece Swimsuit – I have literally been on the hunt for the perfect nude bathing suit for a couple of months now. I don’t want a super cheap one because, cheap bathing suits, but I also don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars. This one seems like a good compromise. Plus the color is perfection.

Hoop Earrings – Back in the day hoop earrings were my thing. I would rarely leave the house without them. It’s been a while since I busted them out, but I have started to wear them regularly on the weekends. It’s a nice little change. Anyways, I love that these ones are still super simple, but have just enough detail to not make them incredibly basic.

Tiered Camisole Top – My obsession for everything and anything white has not faded. I love this little peplum top with the ruffle detail. A perfect summer top that will pair perfectly with a pair of denim cutoffs, but will still work perfectly when the temps cool with a jacket a jeans. Plus it’s only $35.

The fall clothes will be everywhere before we know it! It stays really hot here too until middle of October, so I have a hard time switching gears. I opt for a very slow transition to fall. I am always a little jealous of the places that start having fall weather in September, but I would rather have it be warm earlier in the spring than get cooler earlier in the fall. Love your picks, especially the tshirt dress!

Yep, a slow transition is the way to go! It’s always tough watching everyone else bust out the sweaters and boots!
